A 15th-century doge's residence on the Grand Canal opposite the Salute church, the Gritti has operated as a hotel since 1895 and was restored in 2013 with Murano glass, antiques and Rubelli fabrics across its 82 rooms and suites. The Gritti Terrace sits directly on the canal, and the hotel is a five-minute walk from La Fenice and St Mark's Square.
